About Dr. Ankur Jawla
“It started with something I couldn’t ignore: the suffering of stray animals.”
For Dr. Ankur, becoming a veterinarian wasn’t just a career decision. It was a response. A need to do something about what he was seeing every day.
Now, 1.5 years into practice in the Outpatient Department, he’s building his path at the intersection of compassion and critical care and already diving into cardiology while simultaneously training in emergency medicine.
Because for him, it’s not just about treating, it’s about intervening at the right moment.
“I really want to specialise in interventional cardiology and emergency care. That’s where you can truly change outcomes.”
And sometimes, those outcomes come down to a single decision. Dr. Ankur recalls a challenging case:
“There was a diabetic dog with complications like DKA and pancreatitis. The condition was severe, and the pet parent was ready to consider euthanasia. I asked them for 3–4 days.”
That’s all.
“We treated aggressively, monitored closely… and the dog recovered. Today, he’s living happily with his family.”
Of course, not every moment is that intense.
“Some pets don’t bite… they just hold your hand with their jaws. It’s their way of saying ‘I’m not sure about this, but I trust you.’”
For Dr. Ankur, the joy is in the little things too.
“Getting to play with cute furry pets is the best part of the job, no doubt.”
Off duty, he goes home to Freddy—his orange cat.
Looking ahead, his focus is clear: becoming a specialist in interventional cardiology and emergency care. High-stakes, high-impact medicine.
And through it all, one belief grounds him:
“Where you are, be the best version of yourself.”
Meet Dr. Ankur at our Sadashivnagar hospital for thoughtful, attentive care that goes the extra mile for your pet.

He fought bravely through a sudden and serious illness, and despite every effort, his body had been through too much. We are grateful for the love, care, and compassion shown to him by the doctors and nurses at Cessna who stood by him till the very end.
Our sincere thanks to doctors Parth, Amruth, Malavika, Adarsh, Ramesh, Pawan, Devaraja sir, and all the staff across IPD, Surgery and the rest. Your kindness and care gave our boy a huge fighting chance and we remain indebted.
Run free, sweet boy.
You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be. 🌈
