About Dr. Amruthanand
“I guess you could say it runs in the family.”
For Dr. Amruthanand, veterinary medicine isn’t just a career—it’s a legacy.
“My grandfather was a veterinarian too… part of the second batch in our state back in 1960.”
Somewhere between that legacy and his own curiosity, the path became clear.
Today, with over 6.5 years of experience and multiple gold medals across undergraduate and postgraduate studies, he works in one of the most demanding spaces: emergency and critical care.
The kind of place where decisions aren’t just important. They’re immediate.
“I enjoy the detective side of medicine, figuring things out when nothing is obvious.”
One case that stayed with him?
“Rocher, a Standard Poodle. That case taught me a lot about approaching autoimmune disorders: how to think, how to adapt, how to not give up too early.”
It’s those cases, the ones that challenge your thinking, that shape you.
And while the work is intense, it’s not without its… unexpected moments.
“Once, a patient farted right in front of my face during examination.”
No warning. No apology. Just vibes.
For Dr. Amruthanand, the job is a mix of science, instinct, and constant learning.
He’s already published research in veterinary pharmacology, competed at national clinical contests (securing top positions), and continues to build deeper expertise in internal medicine alongside emergency care.
Because in his world, growth isn’t optional—it’s necessary.
Looking ahead, his goal is clear: to become a full-time emergency and critical care consultant, equipped to handle the most complex, high-pressure cases.
At home, things are a little calmer with Agasthya, his chocolate Doberman, who probably gets the best version of him after long, intense days.
And the belief that guides him through it all?
“Medicine is a science of uncertainty and an art of probability.” — William Osler

Highly recommended for anyone looking for trustworthy veterinary care in Bangalore.

He fought bravely through a sudden and serious illness, and despite every effort, his body had been through too much. We are grateful for the love, care, and compassion shown to him by the doctors and nurses at Cessna who stood by him till the very end.
Our sincere thanks to doctors Parth, Amruth, Malavika, Adarsh, Ramesh, Pawan, Devaraja sir, and all the staff across IPD, Surgery and the rest. Your kindness and care gave our boy a huge fighting chance and we remain indebted.
Run free, sweet boy.
You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be. 🌈
