About Dr. Roja Basanagoud Patil
“My dad wanted me to become a veterinarian.”
And somewhere along the way, that became her path too.
For Dr. Roja, what started as a direction given by family slowly shaped into something personal, something she chose to grow into, and build her own identity within.
Seven years into her journey as an OPD veterinarian, she’s developed a strong foundation in clinical care, while steadily moving toward her goal of specialising in cardiology.
Because for her, it’s not just about treating, it’s about understanding.
“Diagnosing a disease correctly… and then seeing a sick pet recover—that’s what I enjoy the most.”
That moment where things start making sense—where confusion turns into clarity, and treatment begins to work—that’s where the satisfaction lies.
Of course, not every moment in the clinic is serious.
“There was a dog who stole my stethoscope… and walked around proudly like he had just earned his veterinary degree.”
Confidence? Unmatched.
But early in her career, there was a case that shaped her perspective in a deeper way.
“An emergency trauma case, a dog brought in after an accident.”
High pressure. Uncertainty. Teamwork.
“That case taught me resilience… and the kind of trust pet parents place in us.”
A responsibility she continues to carry with intention every day.
For Dr. Roja, her approach to pet care is rooted in three simple things:
“Prevention. Observation. Communication.”
Because often, the difference between early treatment and late intervention lies in how closely we pay attention.
At home, that care continues with Kush—her Labrador who likely enjoys the perks of being a vet’s pet.
Looking ahead, she’s working toward becoming a veterinary cardiologist, deepening her expertise in a field where early detection and precision can change outcomes significantly.
And the belief she carries?
“Whatever happens, happens for the best.”
Because sometimes, even the unexpected moments—good or challenging—shape you into a better doctor.
Meet Dr. Roja at our Electronic City hospital for thoughtful, attentive care focused on early detection and better outcomes for your pet.
