About Dr. Sanjana Venkumahanti

“I think it started with curiosity… and then it just stayed.”

For Dr. Sanjana, the journey into veterinary medicine wasn’t a single defining moment, it was a slow build.

“I’ve always been interested in science. But somewhere in my late teenage years, the idea of becoming a vet just clicked.”

And maybe it was the usual suspects.

“Wagging tails. Head tilts. Those innocent eyes.”

But it went deeper than that.

“The ability to understand them… to read their body, notice subtle changes, and then actually help—that feeling is hard to describe.”

Three years into her role as an OPD veterinarian, that feeling hasn’t faded. If anything, it’s sharper now—more intuitive, more instinct-driven.

Because animals don’t tell you what’s wrong. You sense it.

Which is why her advice to pet parents is simple but powerful:

“Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it probably is.”

Sometimes, the smallest change is the biggest clue.

Of course, her days aren’t just clinical, they’re full of moments that remind you how unintentionally funny pets can be.

“There was this cat who tried to run straight through a glass wall… and only realised mid-air that it wasn’t an exit.”

Zero awareness. Full commitment.

“We then had to spend a lot of time helping him feel safe again.”

Because behind every funny moment, there’s still care.

Then there are the cases that stay with you.

“A dog I diagnosed with prostate cancer… his journey was incredible.”

From diagnosis to radiation and chemotherapy, through multiple complications, he kept going.

“He was so strong. So full of spirit.”

That kind of resilience changes you.

For Dr. Sanjana, being a vet feels like something she’s always been—even as a child.

“I used to play doctor… talk in medical lingo, treat animals. Being around pets who just rizz you up: that’s always been my dream.”

And now, it’s her reality.

At home, that love continues with Nix, short for Phoenix, a cat who quite literally lived up to his name.

“He was battling sepsis and a fracture when I found him… and he fought his way back.”

Now? Cuddly. Chatty. Thriving.

Looking ahead, she’s diving deeper into diagnostic imaging, ultrasound, echocardiography, and guided procedures, building the ability to not just feel what’s wrong… but see it clearly.

And the belief she carries with her?

“Water what waters you.”

Because when you do what fills your heart—you don’t just work. You show up fully.

Meet Dr. Sanjana at our Domlur hospital for intuitive, compassionate care that picks up on even the smallest signs your pet might show.

Had a really positive experience with Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Hospital. The doctors were extremely caring, patient, and knowledgeable. They took the time to properly explain my pet’s condition and treatment plan without rushing. The staff was polite, responsive, and handled pets with genuine compassion.

The clinic is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with good facilities for consultation, diagnostics, grooming, and rehabilitation. What stood out most was the attention and comfort given to pets during treatment — you can tell the team truly loves animals.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for trustworthy veterinary care in Bangalore.

We rushed our 10 yr old male GSD with bloat to Cessna on the night of April 29th as this was the only vet hospital open 24/7 for emergencies in Bangalore. The vets and staff immediately conducted all the necessary tests to determine that it was GDV and performed Gastropexy surgery at 1 am after explaining all possible outcomes for our pet. Professional and polite vet staff. The place has everything for a pet in distress and I highly recommend this place. We were also allowed to see our pet pre and post surgery for a few minutes and that was reassuring. We got regular video and picture updates about our pet's recovery, consultation from Dr Padam the next day via a phone call about our pet's vitals and discharge was also smooth with guidance on post operative care by the on duty Vet. Thank you for saving the life of our pet. We can never forget this.

Our Pepe crossed the rainbow bridge today.

He fought bravely through a sudden and serious illness, and despite every effort, his body had been through too much. We are grateful for the love, care, and compassion shown to him by the doctors and nurses at Cessna who stood by him till the very end.

Our sincere thanks to doctors Parth, Amruth, Malavika, Adarsh, Ramesh, Pawan, Devaraja sir, and all the staff across IPD, Surgery and the rest. Your kindness and care gave our boy a huge fighting chance and we remain indebted.

Run free, sweet boy.
You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be. 🌈
