Because one thing she believes strongly in is this:

“Pets are not for timepass.”

They’re companions. Family.

“And they deserve 100% commitment.”

That clarity shows in how she guides pet parents, encouraging them to think beyond the excitement of getting a pet, and truly understand what it means to care for one.

Of course, not every moment in the clinic is serious.

“There was a pet who kept licking my face… while I was trying to examine its eyes.”

Zero cooperation. Maximum affection.

But then there are cases that stay with you.

“Cookie—a case of cutaneous lymphoma.”

Difficult. Emotional. Uncertain.

The kind of case that reminds you how complex—and fragile—health can be.

And why early detection, consistency, and care matter so much.

For Dr. Swathi, one of the most unique parts of being a veterinarian is something simple but special.

“You get to spend your entire day with animals.”

Different personalities. Different stories.

“And that, in itself, is a privilege.”

Looking ahead, she’s working toward expanding her expertise into exotic pet medicine and surgery, continuing to grow in a field that’s constantly evolving.

And the belief she carries?

“The greatness of a nation… can be judged by how it treats its animals.”
