About Dr. Sana R

“It was seeing the actual plight of animals in India. The neglect, the suffering, the lack of voice. That stayed with me.”

Dr. Sana doesn’t just treat animals; she advocates for them in rooms where they can’t speak for themselves. And that’s kind of her whole thing.

With 3.5 years into veterinary practice as a general practitioner, she’s already had an immense amount of experience in the vet space… but she’s just getting started.

“Honestly, one of the funniest things? One pet that came in not eating at home… and then immediately start eating in the clinic like it’s a buffet,” she recalls when asked about the funniest experience she has had as a vet.

But behind the humour, there are moments that stick.

“Kiki was one of those cases I’ll never forget. She was a tiny kitten rescued off the street, fighting parvo and then FIP. Most wouldn’t have made it. But she did. And somewhere along the way, she stopped being just a case… she became mine.”

Today, Kiki shares her home with two other rescue kittens: Wasabi and Mouse. A full house for Dr. Sana and, of course, a full-heart situation.

For Dr. Sana, being a vet isn’t just medicine; it’s emotional labour, patience, and sometimes just… showing up.

“Being a voice for the voiceless, that’s my favourite part. Always has been.”

And if there’s one thing she wishes more pet parents understood?

“Your energy matters more than you think. If you walk into a clinic anxious, your pet feels it instantly. Sometimes the best thing you can do for them… is just breathe.”

Up next? She’s diving deeper into the mind of animals with a Master’s in Clinical Animal Behaviour. Because understanding why they do what they do is just as important as treating them.

Her personal mantra?

“Just keep swimming.” — Dory

Had a really positive experience with Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Hospital. The doctors were extremely caring, patient, and knowledgeable. They took the time to properly explain my pet’s condition and treatment plan without rushing. The staff was polite, responsive, and handled pets with genuine compassion.

The clinic is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with good facilities for consultation, diagnostics, grooming, and rehabilitation. What stood out most was the attention and comfort given to pets during treatment — you can tell the team truly loves animals.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for trustworthy veterinary care in Bangalore.

We rushed our 10 yr old male GSD with bloat to Cessna on the night of April 29th as this was the only vet hospital open 24/7 for emergencies in Bangalore. The vets and staff immediately conducted all the necessary tests to determine that it was GDV and performed Gastropexy surgery at 1 am after explaining all possible outcomes for our pet. Professional and polite vet staff. The place has everything for a pet in distress and I highly recommend this place. We were also allowed to see our pet pre and post surgery for a few minutes and that was reassuring. We got regular video and picture updates about our pet's recovery, consultation from Dr Padam the next day via a phone call about our pet's vitals and discharge was also smooth with guidance on post operative care by the on duty Vet. Thank you for saving the life of our pet. We can never forget this.

Our Pepe crossed the rainbow bridge today.

He fought bravely through a sudden and serious illness, and despite every effort, his body had been through too much. We are grateful for the love, care, and compassion shown to him by the doctors and nurses at Cessna who stood by him till the very end.

Our sincere thanks to doctors Parth, Amruth, Malavika, Adarsh, Ramesh, Pawan, Devaraja sir, and all the staff across IPD, Surgery and the rest. Your kindness and care gave our boy a huge fighting chance and we remain indebted.

Run free, sweet boy.
You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be. 🌈
