Two years into his journey as a veterinarian in OPD, Dr. Ganesh has already experienced both ends of the spectrum, light, funny moments that make you smile, and intense cases that stay with you forever.
Like a husky that came to him. He recalls…. “You’d think the injection is the scary part. But this one? Started crying the moment he entered the clinic. Full drama… before anything even happened.”
(AND we all know that one patient.)
But then, there are the cases that test everything you’ve learned.
“A Labrador puppy was brought in comatose for 4–5 days due to an anaesthesia overdose. It was critical. We worked on him for 10 days straight. Intensive care, constant monitoring… it was everything we had. And he made it. Today, he’s living a completely normal life.”
That’s the thing about veterinary medicine. Sometimes you don’t just treat, you fight. And when you win, it changes you.
For Dr. Ganesh, being a vet isn’t just a profession; it’s a space where purpose meets presence.
“Being surrounded by so many pets all the time… that’s my favourite part. There’s nothing like it.”
