About Dr. Estella Judaine D’Cunha

“I think it started with loss.”

For Dr. Estella, becoming a veterinarian wasn’t just a career decision—it was personal.

“I grew up in Mangalore, where veterinary care for cats was almost non-existent.”

And then, she lost one of her own.

“That’s when I knew—I had to do something.”

That moment stayed. It shaped the direction she chose, and the kind of doctor she became.

Add to that the influence of her father—a wildlife biologist—and her path into animal care began to feel inevitable.

“He’s been my biggest inspiration.”

Ten years into her journey, now specialising in surgery and radiology, Dr. Estella works in a space where skill meets sensitivity—where outcomes often depend on both precision and patience.

But it’s the stories that stay.

“Bonnie was a street dog… someone had run over both his hind limbs.”

Severe injuries. Trauma. Pain.

“We performed two surgeries… and then waited.”

Days turned into weeks.

“And after two months… he started walking.”

That moment, watching him take those steps despite everything he had been through—that’s the kind of memory that doesn’t fade.

“He was so trusting. Even after all that.”

And maybe that’s what defines her approach.

Not just treating—but respecting that trust.

For Dr. Estella, being a vet isn’t just about procedures or outcomes.

“Meeting so many animals… that’s my favourite part.”

Each one different. Each one with a personality of their own.

Which is exactly why her advice to pet parents is simple but important:

“Don’t compare your pet to others. Learn from them.”

Because no two animals are the same.

At home, that love continues with Ginger, Bimbi, and Kitty—her cats, each with their own quirks and personalities.

Looking ahead, she’s open to growing further, adding certifications, expanding skills—but always rooted in the same purpose that started it all.

And the belief she carries?

“A hundred years from now… it won’t matter what I owned. But maybe the world will be different because I mattered in the lives of animals.”

Because sometimes, impact isn’t measured in numbers. It’s measured in lives changed.

Meet Dr. Estella at our Sadashivnagar hospital for skilled, compassionate surgical care that puts your pet’s comfort and recovery first.

Had a really positive experience with Cessna Lifeline Veterinary Hospital. The doctors were extremely caring, patient, and knowledgeable. They took the time to properly explain my pet’s condition and treatment plan without rushing. The staff was polite, responsive, and handled pets with genuine compassion.

The clinic is clean, well-maintained, and equipped with good facilities for consultation, diagnostics, grooming, and rehabilitation. What stood out most was the attention and comfort given to pets during treatment — you can tell the team truly loves animals.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for trustworthy veterinary care in Bangalore.

We rushed our 10 yr old male GSD with bloat to Cessna on the night of April 29th as this was the only vet hospital open 24/7 for emergencies in Bangalore. The vets and staff immediately conducted all the necessary tests to determine that it was GDV and performed Gastropexy surgery at 1 am after explaining all possible outcomes for our pet. Professional and polite vet staff. The place has everything for a pet in distress and I highly recommend this place. We were also allowed to see our pet pre and post surgery for a few minutes and that was reassuring. We got regular video and picture updates about our pet's recovery, consultation from Dr Padam the next day via a phone call about our pet's vitals and discharge was also smooth with guidance on post operative care by the on duty Vet. Thank you for saving the life of our pet. We can never forget this.

Our Pepe crossed the rainbow bridge today.

He fought bravely through a sudden and serious illness, and despite every effort, his body had been through too much. We are grateful for the love, care, and compassion shown to him by the doctors and nurses at Cessna who stood by him till the very end.

Our sincere thanks to doctors Parth, Amruth, Malavika, Adarsh, Ramesh, Pawan, Devaraja sir, and all the staff across IPD, Surgery and the rest. Your kindness and care gave our boy a huge fighting chance and we remain indebted.

Run free, sweet boy.
You were loved beyond measure, and you always will be. 🌈
